Last evening in Istanbul

I am such a sap. Anytime I leave anyplace that I love, I get mopey and nostalgic. Tonight is no exception. In the morning Katherine, James, and I fly down to Cairo for the next few days, and while walking through Istanbul tonight I got sad and moody. I really like Istanbul and have mixed feelings about leaving. I certainly want to go to Cairo - there are amazing things there that I want to see and experience - but I have had such a lovely time in Istanbul, it is hard to go! So instead of writing my planned blog entry about food (I'll write about that another day), I will just post these few thoughts and a photo that I took today while crossing the Bosphorus Strait.

On to the city of 1,000 minarets.....
